Metal Safety Razor - this one has a butterfly opening - twist the bottom and put in the blade then twist shut. The thought of safety razors are a bit scary but the reality is they work very well and aren't scary at all, of course you will take it slow for a start until you get the hang of it then you will be away, a cleaner, closer shave!
With this one just make sure that before use it's nice and tight (if it's loose more of the blade will come out). The razor comes with 5 Blades. Extras can be purchased separately. Add a shaving soap for a discounted cost of $7.
Made from Stainless Steel.
A tip from the trenches: Use an elastic band to wrap around the handle again and again to make a grip. These can get slippery in the shower and get dropped!
I bought this razor because I wanted to move away from plastic razors in an attempt to be more eco friendly. I was intimidated initially as I thought the steel razor would be hard to use and I'd get heaps of cuts. I've been using it for over two months now and haven't cut myself once. I LOVE that I made the switch and will never go back to plastic razors. It is an easy switch so it makes no sense to be using plastic ones. I read online tips to use to use this razor and these are: to not use pressure, do short strokes, and heat the razor under the shower water before using. 100% recommend this product.
Easy to use, I pretty much just started shaving with it straight away. Gives a close shave with absolutely no irritation
love this product!
It's taken some time to get used to. I was quite intimidated to begin with. But after watching a YouTube howto I'm more confident with my shaving ability. I've found I needed to use a brush to work up more of a lather with the soap. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase at not having to throw away shaving cream tubes or plastic coated razor blades.
but hubby loves his new razor, thanks.
