Metal Safety Razor - this one has a butterfly opening - twist the bottom and put in the blade then twist shut. The thought of safety razors are a bit scary but the reality is they work very well and aren't scary at all, of course you will take it slow for a start until you get the hang of it then you will be away, a cleaner, closer shave!
With this one just make sure that before use it's nice and tight (if it's loose more of the blade will come out). The razor comes with 5 Blades. Extras can be purchased separately. Add a shaving soap for a discounted cost of $7.
Made from Stainless Steel.
A tip from the trenches: Use an elastic band to wrap around the handle again and again to make a grip. These can get slippery in the shower and get dropped!
Good product. Good value. Easy to use. Very happy.
Nifty little razor. Happy with shave quality. As other comments on this site, it does have a shorter handle than disposables and is weightier so have to take care not to drop it. Suggestion of wrapping elastic band around the handle seems like a good one! That’s only reason for a 4 not 5.
A bit scary to use for the first time but works great, nice and close shave and no cuts!
I've been trying to get rid of plastics from my life and made the decision to purchase a safety razor (cuts out all of the disposables I throw away each year) It was the best choice for me, the shave is amazing and razor is so easy use (no cuts for me!) It might seem a bit daunting using a razor blade but I can hands down say this was a great purchase and it is a superior product.
Sadly this doesn't work for me. It's probably a fault with the operater...
I use razors to shave my legs and this one's handle is too short to grip with my wet hand and in the shower my extreme short sight doesn't help, I got a few nick's on my ankles. Ouch.
