The feedback has been amazing on these bars, they last a very long time, testers which were a quarter of a bar have barely changed in size for a lot of people. Of course the time they last will vary with individual useage, hair length, how often etc.
Long awaited Conditioner Bars are here. These amazing bars come in a square shape rather than our usual round soap so theres no way to get them confused. Conditioner Bars work very differently from soap bars, most importantly they don't lather and clean, they are creamy and moisturising.
To use: After washing hair you stroke the conditioner bar over the hair until it feels silky and conditioned. Hair should feel similar to the feel of regular conditioner on hair. Personally I only use the bar from the ears down and hold the bar and use a combing motion with my fingers to distribute through hair, also detangling at the same time.
Ingredients: BTMS-50 (derived from Rapeseed Oil - includes Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol and Butylene Glycol), Cetyl Alcohol, Apricot Kernal Oil, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Polyquaternium, Provitamin B5, Vitamin E, Naturaguard Ultra (preservative), Sweet Orange Essential Oil.
Full Size minimum 50g.
The ingredients used in this bar are a little different from the ingredients used in my other products - this is why it has taken me such a long time to bring the conditioner bar out. I've had to compromise a little but have made this bar as natural as I possibly can.
I'm a huge fan of other dirtie hippie products, but not these shampoo bars. There is a warning that your hair may feel 'gummy' for a while as you 'transition' from other shampoos to these ones, and boy did it ever. Tried sticking with them but it didn't get any better.
The way I would describe it is: they make my hair feel more 'natural'. But after trying these I realise that I don't want that! I want the soft and non-oily feeling that a store-bought shampoo offers.
Still a dirtie hippie fan.
As Dawn recommends, you may not need it at the roots, just stroke bar down your hair from below ears to the ends and gently run fingers through. Not greasy and no tangles! I actually can’t remember how long my first bar lasted. I made this purchase because I was buying other things but haven’t even opened it yet, the first bar is still going ...
I love this bar. I have very thick hair and often struggle to feel like I get enough conditioner off the block. This one is definitely the most nourishing out of all the blocks I have used
i upgraded from the sampler to the full size bar, and it has worked well for my thin hair, so not too oily but nicely moisturising. my hair is fairly easy care however. will defs rebuy, and prefer this to the ones provided by ethique.
I’ve tried so many conditioner bars which end up drying out my hair like straw, but this one in the best plastic free alternative! Leaves your hair silky, 100% recommend!
